Holidays In Europe Through The Channel Tunnel

Sunday, August 8th, 2010 | outdoors

Many sites offer a great way to get onto the continent and free-wheel around Europe. Driving is one way and going through the tunnel means that you can get from Folkestone to Calais in just thirty-five minuets and after this you can go anywhere you want; maybe spend a weekend in Paris or hit Italian lakes. Getting to Europe so quick and without any hassle is fantastic as there are so many things to do in Europe; you don’t even have the worry of the weather causing travel disruption as you might do if you were travelling by boat or plane.

Weekends Away On The Continent.

The recent economic downturn has meant that most of us don’t have the money or the time to spare anymore. But getting away for an occasional break is something that we should still be able to do. It’s possible for us to head off to Europe at the weekend and spend a couple of days relaxing before heading back to work on Monday morning feeling refreshed and relaxed. You could even decide to take your kids away for a treat by heading over to Euro Disney for a few days which would make everyone happy. A trip across the channel is not expensive and you can even do some tax free shopping to make it an even better deal.

Longer Trips.

If you have a longer period of time at your disposal then why not make the most of it by taking the car in the Channel Tunnel and spending a few weeks travelling around Europe. We can head all around Europe on a whim if we wish without needing to apply for a visa for each country which is one of the best things about being European. The single currency also means that we only need change our money once and not every time we cross a border.

On the lookout for Disneyland Paris tickets for your fun weekend away? Once you have the tickets, you may want to drive over, but you have to think about European breakdown cover. Getting this cover will give you peace of mind. Make sure you also have European travel insurance.
