How To Look Fearsome In A Xena Warrior Princess Costume

If it’s your fantasy to dress up as a sexy and courageous warrior, then look no further than a Xena Warrior Princess costume. Xena Warrior Princess has become such a cult series that many people want to emulate her style. If you’re considering dressing up as Xena for your next event, let me give you some tips.

Xena pretty much wears the same outfit throughout all the series, a brown leather skirted costume with armor. If you’re feeling creative, you could try making your own costume or you could just buy directly from a costume shop either on of offline. If you look closely at Xena’s costume, the top is a fitted bodice with straps and epaulets on the shoulders. The bust area and epaulets look like they are overlaid with metal decoration which probably acts as armor. You could buy or make a brown real leather or leather look corset and add some shoulder straps if it doesn’t already have some. You can finish off by making epaulets and attaching them to the top of the straps. For the metal design you could use a gold material marker pen to draw over the bust and epaulets. From the same brown material you should make matching arm and wrist bands. Again, decorate these with the gold marker. The skirt section looks like it is in different length strips of the brown leather. Either make or short brown skirt or buy one and then sew the different length leather strips on top. Sandals or brown boots will finish off the outfit.

The final job is to make or buy Xena’s two weapons: a chakram (circular metal ring) and a sword. You can certainly buy toy swords, but you can make the chakram using cardboard and tinfoil.
